Linda Sapere
Painter, collage artist, and master designer, Linda pursued art, including fashion design, throughout high school and college. Upon moving to Napa, she enrolled in a Silkscreen class at Napa Valley College to create prints of her and her children's artwork. At that time, Kinkos and home printers were not available. She made her silkscreen quilt collages using typing paper, covering the entire screen with paint, pulling the squeegee across, letting the paper air dry, and then carefully cutting them into perfect geometric shapes. It took Linda up to three months to work on each creation before finally gluing them down with YES paste. Her greeting and birthday cards became cherished gems, especially by her daughter, who continued to request them for her birthday as a present that couldn't be bought. Linda started painting t-shirts when her best friend Kate was in desperate need and couldn't find anything in the store. The idea of painting t-shirts was sparked when her 12-year-old daughter expressed an interest in painting t-shirts after seeing a demonstration on TV. Her daughter's own artwork continues to reflect the generational influence of her mom's creative spirit.
Heidi Sapere
In the beginning, before fabric, while a young dancer, Heidi's art has always expressed motion as though it was dancing, even though the lines were still, reflecting hope, beauty, the human heart, and the heavenly Spirit.
Kate McBride
Kate began her artistic journey as a tapestry weaver, crafting her own yarn and knitting as a side hobby. As time passed, she expanded into other fiber arts, moving away from tapestry weaving while continuing to knit and explore other creative possibilities with her unique yarns. First, Kate delved into rug hooking, then began felting with unspun, hand-dyed wool. She also created beautiful needlepoint works. Today, knitting is Kate's primary focus. Over 40 years ago, Kate met Linda in San Francisco, and the two became inseparable art partners and friends.
